To Alice and beyond

As we decided a few months ago we were going to Australia for the upcoming event in Sydney, we gave thought to where else nearby we could also go. Some of that big outback stuff - and the famous rock, surely.
It’s not far - only a couple of hours connecting flight from Melbourne and then a short drive out the highway south from Alice Springs of 280 miles or so. So much to see. Well, there’s Stuart’s Well where we stopped in the bar awhile and swatted flies. And there was another tiny place we drove past. And after about 200 miles, I caught up with another car! There it is, away ahead.
So, we got here, in a most amazing big apartment with balconies and a huge whirlpool bath and everything And there’s a pool. I’ve no idea where they find the water.
I think the big rock can wait till tomorrow.
