-5 early here this morning. Contrary to my long held belief that salty sea air raises the temperature on the shore line this blip shows how cold it was overnight. Low tide was at 05.59 and the sun did not rise until 0834. Plenty of time for the frost to settle as this part of the groyne would have been clear of the tidal ebb by about 0400.
