An Unkindness of Ravens

Glowing

I have discovered that drinking three cups of coffee in the morning and then expecting to be able to successfully use a macro lens is a mistake.

I rarely drink coffee these days, preferring a pot of green tea in the morning, but on occasion I give in to the coffee addiction and have some. I must make sure my blip is sorted first in future!

Another busy day, with barely a moment to spare. I hate how everything becomes so frenetic at this time of year (and then grinds to a complete halt on January 1st). My son had his orientation day at high school today, declaring afterwards that you get to do much more interesting stuff at high school than at primary school. The highlight of the day was being given their locker padlocks and trying to get them to open! (I tried and it's just like trying to crack a safe!) (not that I have ever done that of course...) I think they hand them out now so that the children have a good 7 or 8 weeks of getting the hang of them - they are pretty fancy!

He has his Year 6 Graduation tomorrow night. I'm not sure why they do this; it seems a bit over the top to me. I don't remember even having a graduation 'do' at university, let alone junior school... do schools in England do this now too?
