Look Out, Miss Lotte Lenya
My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,
Oh the shark babe, has such teeth dear...
I've had that song stuck in my head ever since I took this picture. It is part of a whole mural which covers a large building (see extra) and features lots of idiosyncratic sharks.
I like the shark with glasses.
As I was leaving work today, just packing up and getting ready to go, Smock decided to tell me her very interesting story about a Pivot Table she once did. Trust me, I didn't ask, but there was no stopping her.
It was, it turns out, quite an epic. She used it to convert a whole page of invoicing data into a 16 column report. So there was that.
It's probably less interesting when you're getting it second-hand. But, trust me, it was a THRILLING TALE of accounting spreadsheet action.
What? You find this stuff unutterably effing DULL? Maybe you had to be there.
When I got in from work, Caro gave me the latest family news. This was that Feefs's stepson has got a girl pregnant. And then broken up with her. And just to complicate things, the girls' father is in a motorbike gang full of very unsympathetic large men with tattoos.
That rather put Smock's tale in sharp perspective. I didn't really know what to say in response to either story.
The fact is, I don't live an interesting a life. I exist somewhere in the world in-between Pivot Tables and Having A Biker Threatening To Cut Off My Willy. The only things I need to worry about are cartoon sharks.
And for that, I am extremely grateful.
S.
