She sells seashells ...

There was black ice on the local roads this morning. That was a bit of a surprise on my morning run. Much safer once I reached the sands of Portobello Beach.

There was a low mist lurking around the East Lothian and Fife coasts but these shells were glistening in the bright morning sunshine.

Telephone call meetings in the morning. A bracing walk with T along the beach in the afternoon and more work on my current assignment this evening. T enjoyed her Fun Fiddle session.

The news that the UK's first tourist tax is likely to be imposed on Edinburgh next year has been a new divisive talking point!  I personally support the concept as long as it is not being used to pay off the cost of Edinburgh's white elephant - the one that  snakes its way from York Place to the Airport!
