Belated Birthday Dinner

I had to cancel my birthday treat because we were both full of the cold, so re-arranged it for this evening instead.  This is the Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews in a wonderful setting overlooking the sea.  Unfortunately the tide was out tonight, so all we saw was the beach!  The Extra was taken in the huge plate glass windows!

We had the five course Chef's Tasting Menu and enjoyed every mouthful.  Fine dining at its best, although rather a long wait between courses.  It was a shame neither of us was drinking because the Maitre d' was a wine expert and we loved listening to his recommendations to other diners!

The satnav brought us safely home this time (without having to go via Dundee!) although I was very glad it was a dry, clear night as there are some very windy roads along the route.  

It was a fishy day for TJ as he was fly fishing earlier on the River Tay.  He didn't catch a thing, so it was just as well we were going out for a meal:-)
