Sausage Thursday

A few things to celebrate just now so out for lunch. For a while I used to pass signs on an A-board, at a junction on a country lane, advertising a sausage festival with nine different real ales and twenty different sausages. I missed the festival but found that the pub celebrated Sausage Thursdays so today was the day to give it a spin.

As you will see from the Thursday menu there are a range of ways to order sausages and I elected to go with the Naughty Sausages; three sausages with chips, a couple of fried eggs and fried mushrooms. In the extras you'll see today's selection of sausages and I went with 3, 4 and 5. Totally delicious and with a nice pint of Butcombe Rare Breed.  I will certainly be back! And they are having a real ale and cheese festival in April - real ale AND cheese; does it get much better?
