Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2019 Tuesday — Above Cayucos

This has been our last full day of winter vacation on California’s Central Coast in Cayucos. We’ve enjoyed lots of lovely rain today, but late this afternoon the clouds cleared and we realized that we had the potential to walk the pups, so we put leashes on, had our ears blasted with barks, and headed out the front door, down the stairs, and into the car. We drove first to the library to return a few items, and then turned onto the on-ramp to Highway 1 toward the community of Morro Bay. This is when I captured the photo.

We walked the pups in Tidelands Park on the sidewalk next to the shore. The bow of each boat was pointed away from the ocean, so we knew the tide was still going out of the bay. Walking into the wind was quite chilly.

After a fairly long walk, we put the pups back in their beds in the backseat of the car, gave them large gulps of water, and then headed out. We decided to stop for dinner at the Dutchman’s Restaurant. We had never been there before; it was very good.

We had our kitchen at home cleaned and we didn’t want to mess it up again with cooking. Getting our things packed was the priority so that we could leave early in the morning.
