Lichen

It was more of the weird, dark stuff this morning as far as pictures went ….. different kinds from different angles (that was probably my favourite).
There was also an empty flower head.

The morning walk was a long one with no short cuts or diversions from PD (unlike yesterday).
When he arrived it was clear blue skies - when we left the house 20 minutes later it was overcast and threatening rain.
The rain arrived just after we left the house at lunchtime ……… and stopped again just before we got back. 
Still, it is the first wet walk we have had in many weeks.
Talking of wet - how can a short haired dog collect so much mud and water? I am sure he is part sponge.

SWMBO is out babysitting for a couple of hours this evening and I am off the camera club. Whoever chose the subject 'Christmas' for the February small print challenge needs shot!
