Beware The Grasping Hands

There were some lovely fresh yellow catkins out this morning. Why they came out in that snell wind I have no idea. I am glad that the big camera has a 'focus confirmation' because with a manual focus lens and really watery eyes because of the wind would have made it really hard. As it was I had to hold twig steady to get at least one of the catkins steady in this one. Hopefully the tiny buds (they are smaller than a pin head) on the Blacktorn bushes will develop into sloes this year for going in the gin.

By lunchtime it was much sunnier (and slightly warmer) …. see - blue skies and shadows …… although there were some times when the light was really flat (although 2 minutes later there were blue skies in the reflections in the pools of water in the wood).

After getting back from our walk I did something I haven't done in months ….…. I gave the car a sponge bath. It was long overdue.
I suppose I should really attack the inside with the vacuum cleaner tomorrow since PD's owners are working from home so I will have a free morning.
