Fremantle, Western Australia
Left Margaret River early this morning on the bus bound for Perth, a journey of 5 hours but following much of the coast so beautiful views of the sea, beaches, rivers, lakes and Australian bush.
Checked back into the YHA at Perth just for tonight. The temperature in the city was in the mid-30s and very dry so we decided to take the train back down to Fremantle, I was keen to go in search of the marina but we ended up at the Fishing Boat Harbour. I took lots of photos of boats, water and jetties as you can imagine.
After sampling the local ice cream we carried on walking along the quay and came across this interesting craft. According to info on the quayside, the ship is a replica of the 1606 ship Duyfken, link to more info HERE ...
Backpacks staying packed tonight for the next stage of our journey when we leave Perth tomorrow afternoon....
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments, glad you're enjoying our adventure x
