All gone...

It's nearly 35 years since I started this collection and likeTopsy, it just grew and grew and...  Just before it took over a spare room MrsDB said, "Enough"!  That was 5 years ago, they've all gone now, sold to a dealer in Newcastle.  I thought they might become a valuable collection but when other collectors got in on the act the market values plummeted. I never paid over the odds for any of them but at the top of the market some of these were fetching £40+ each to people with more money than sense.  The manufacturers started to take advantage, churning them out, the quality fell away and liberties with authenticity were taken.    Live and learn!
