Sybilla Reprised ~ The Esoterics

Here is the stunning interior of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Seattle, where we heard The Esoterics' final performance for this season. The Esoterics is a choral group of about 25 singers that focuses on "performing and perpetuating rarely-heard contemporary, a cappella choral settings of poetry, philosophy, and spiritual writings from around the world."

The acoustics in Holy Rosary Church were a perfect match for today's performance which featured the complete Hildegard Motets set to music by contemporary choral composer Frank Ferko. And what a fitting way to spend World Choral Day!

After this meditative piece, we headed off to catch a few favorite Happy Hour spots (for Rich's birthday celebration), and wrapped up the day with a visit to The Wall of Gum.
