Installation
Christmas shopping and practicalities of packing a year up and carrying it home. Today we went out to Granville Island to meet my friend Meaghen and see the last day of her living installation at Emily Carr Library. For a term she has been exploring the private and the public of the library, through performance and installation. Part of her work has involved making beautiful ceramic books, which have been added to the library catalogue making them searchable listings and hidden treasures amongst the shelves of art books. She also told us that she had danced and even held a children's dance class (whilst being completely ignored by all of the nose-in-a-book studiers) and spent some time walking backwards through the space!
Tonight was our last sushi in Vancouver, we met Julie, Emma, John and Sharon at Toshi on Main and 16th. If you haven't been you should go, but be ready to queue a while for a table.
