Reinventing Norfolk
It being a pretty miserable and cold day, and snow in Bristol causing us to defer helping move M&C, we settled into a game of Fields of Arle.
This is a pretty meaty farm simulation game, specifically for two players. It's one that I'd consistently beaten E at, albeit only by a few points; thus, there was an agreement not to be too aggressive and to perhaps nudge E in the right direction occasionally.
At least, that's my excuse for getting roundly beaten this time, with E clocking up a record score for us (albeit only by half a point above my previous best score).
I'd gone for a crop & produce strategy leaving my board looking rather like a norfolk lavender farm, meanwhile E was breeding livestock like cows were rabbits. I reckon my farm smells nicer.
