Ending the First Lesson

Our B&B AA membership expires today and we're not renewing, thus the signs are coming down.

The membership has been useful in getting ourselves established, picking up tips and encouragement from the inspector; and it was a nice warm feeling to get officially graded at 4-star for a few years.

However, and you may not realise that the stars are paid for, the commercial justification of spending several hundred pounds on the right to put signs up, is now very, very minimal.  As far as we can tell, we've had the grand total of one booking in four years as a result.

We're making a few changes as a result of being free of the grade criteria - you'll have to bring your own Q-tips after we run out - hope that's OK.
