Meet Bertrand Mao. He's a Chinese ink brush painter and calligrapher. I suspect he 'Americanized" his real first name.

I caught him at VisArts, a series of studios for 'artists in residence. The artists offer classes in their craft, but also work on and display their own pieces. It's fun walking down the hallways and seeing them fully absorbed in their craft -- although today, sunday, Bertrand was the only one there.
