Diary of an Edinburgher

Toast!

An early start today. '8am' meant just that. Andrew finished the last wee bit of the wall, and put the three 'padstones' in. They're big whoppers, and will support the beams. But they have to be left to dry for several days...

Sooo, he’s not coming back till Thursday, maybe Wednesday. This bit's rather s l o w... but once the beams are in, I'm anticipating non stop action and progress (and dust and noise) every day! Archie's getting used to them. There was just one wee bark today, before he welcomed Andrew, who gets down and plays with him, and goes through his (Archie's) tricks.

Jordan arrived to take Archie out. On SUCH a perishingly cold day, (but just look at that sunshine!) he was not wearing a hat!! At our insistence, he borrowed my ear warmer one, which is ideal for such cold weather. Actually, he quite suited it. And he did appreciate it. He saw a nuthatch today!

Jordan joined us for some toast (all too handy having the toaster in the lounge) and coffee. Poor Archie - he had three people to keep an eye on for little crusty toasty treats. His little head was swivelling around every time he heard a crunch.

JR had a double session of fitness at the gym. I did the Bike. My routine is all up the wop. But I did manage half an hour before a shower (once the builders had gone).

Six Nations Rugby - first game tonight. Hurray!
