Dresses, really?

We’re going to a Burns Night party on Friday and we’re told it’s black tie. Of course everyone is taking the Mickey, so today I went shopping for an appropriate evening gown. I haven’t owned a dress for 20+ years, but I thought I’d play along with the joke.
It now transpires it’s less formal, so back to the wardrobe.
I’m thinking serious blippes might pooh pooh this photo, but remember I’m doing this mostly as a diary.
