New England?

This is a large housing scheme in Chelmsford, Essex. It has some really interesting designed houses and flats. I saw a few detached houses with wrap around porches and rocking chairs, which made me think abou New England.
I went to look at how the public spaces are being maintained and what initiatives are in place to build a community.
