Let it snow

Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning, and the tree by my bird feeder was full of squawking birds waiting for me to refill the feeder. Mean old me, I made them wait a few minutes while I snapped off a few photos! Here is a northern red shafted flicker.
Now the snow has begun to fall in earnest, so perhaps the birds knew something I didn't. They were eager to stock up before the storm!
