Becalmed

Back to work for us both today. I (Chris) was in the office and got a lunchtime walk out along the canal. On the towpath I met my dad, also looking for his blip! It was freezing cold but with a bit of a blue sky (sorry Mono Monday) and the water looked calm (but not inviting!).

This evening we've had the excitement of our gas fire being disconnected and extracted. It's part of the plan to have a wood burner in the lounge eventually but before we can do so, we need to get the chimney lined and that needed access through the existing fireplace to determine feasibility and size. By the look of the snowy weather coming later this week, we might wish we'd got on with this sooner!!
