52 card pack

A fabulous birthday today.

I’m 52 and the younger kids threaded a 52 card pack up as bunting. I was a bit slow at understanding!

And the day started slowly for me because Elbows did the football runs. Slow starts are very rare and very welcome.

At 3pm, Elbows and I left for London on a mystery tour. I had my suspicions but it was totally and utterly delightful to meet up with LongLegs, HatBox and DougsJB at a steak house in London, Kings Cross.

We had such a wonderful time. I love my kids! And meeting in London meant that they could all get their trains home at 10’ish meaning we had a decent time together.

The bottom right photo looks a little sedate. That was the beginning. They didn’t take long to relax, and become the normal animated, loud and playful selves!
