Firstly apologies for the dodgy quality- it was quickly snapped from the top deck of a No 5 bus going round the corner from North Bridge to Leith Street.

I'd read that it was the anniversary of the death of John Lennon and I saw this banner being put up by protestors outside West Register House which echoed the title one of Lennon's most famous songs.

People wonder what Lennon would be doing now. I'm afraid I rather suspect that he'd be a grumpy septagenarian judge on rubbish like the X Factor..
