Nostalgia strikes again

Well why not. It is one of the pleasures of old age.

In this case it recalls the days when our sons were boys and you did things supposedly for them but also secretly for your own enjoyment.
In those days we had a Swiss model railway layout. I specialised in the scenery and Mrs.K., being a scientist, did all the electrics and controls.

Today for some fun we went to the annual Kendal Model Railway Society exhibition. And it was really good with lots of layouts and stalls. It filled the Kendal Leisure Centre and was worth a fiver to see.

Not everyone will understand why grown ups, nowadays lots of women as well as men, spend time on this hobby. But others will appreciate the fun of creating models of the real world or of an imaginary one.
