A slice of Lesley's life

21st century Christmas shopping

Ironically given that at least two hours of today has been spent editing and sorting photos for the kids' photo books it has really not been a day about photos.

This afternoon Claire (the kids' ex-nanny) took them out to the cinema and dinner. Carl and I had thought about doing similar but pragmatism took over and we spent the afternoon sorting out Christmas instead with a Present Summit in the warmth of a local hostelry. We have now have an ideas list and have made some headway into the ordering process. Amazing how quickly you can flip from feeling not at all in control to feeling reasonably so with some concerted effort. And a bit of teamwork. Interesting theme to take into the week.

Home to light a fire, eat curry and snuggle up in the sofa with the kids and Strictly. The week's been a lot like hard work but the weekend is doing all that it can to compensate.
