Amazing skies

Wonderful skies this morning starting from this very colourful red to golden tones within minutes.
We went to Inverness to get petrol and a lightbulb for the lounge, luckily Mike bought a few as another one has just blown.
An icy walk at Merkinch no sign of the otter or kingfisher but was very happy to see a few snipe , one of my favourite birds. Several bar tailed godwits and red shanks looked like they were walking on water. Most of the pond was frozen.
A roe deer browsing among the bushes, stopped and watched a lady walking some distance away and the disappeared silently into the trees.
Crows , hooded and carrion ,were splashing about near an overflow pipe. The sound of curlew filled the air,one was ringed with red and yellow rings. Majesty herons watched on before taking flight and their prehistoric cry sounding as they headed for the rushes.
A tiny wren chirped among a pile of logs.A robin joined the mallards , Wigeon and teal looking for grubs in the seaweed.
The sky had cleared and stripy clouds now spread over the snow covered mountains.Tge sun became hidden for a while and it then felt even colder.
