The Elephant in the Room

aka a rather large Poinsettia given to me by friend H for Christmas and for which I was most grateful, of course, but given my past history of trying to keep these highly temperamental plants alive but with no success I'm amazed pleased to say that it still lives on and thrives - just to spite me -  and for ingeborg's  AbstractThursday I've given it a plasticwrapping filter followed by a spherising one and from which you will see how healthy and glossy the flowers  bracts (modified leaves) are (see how informative I am!!!). Ruth came round for coffee this morning, I've had a hairdo this afternoon and #1 daughter dropped in to see us after work early evening.  Mr T has been in a hospital in Manchester this afternoon visiting a very sick friend, so not a very good day for him or C.
