Return to Ruaha

Various domestic and health issues have kept me occupied during most of 2018 and I rather lost my enthusiasm for Blip, however I have decided to dip in again and let's see where this takes me!

In 2017 my husband and I had a trip to Tanzania unfortunately H was developing cataracts in both eyes and declined to tell me he didn't see very much. So, this time a year ago he set about the process of having one eye done then several months later the other. We decided to return to our favourite national park, Ruaha and then on to Katavi in west Tanzania. Another enjoyable experience and H could now see everything! 

Watching this lion attempting to eat his fill of hippo was some experience.....the smell was awful!! Watching on are the vultures and a hyena awaiting their turn to dine.
