Defiance!

 A face-off with Douggie. He's been most annoying today, refusing to let me knit, or use my laptop - he likes to butt the corner of it. Headphone cords are another of his obsessions, he likes to bite them. The sofa has become a battlefield.

We went to a funeral this morning. The church was packed. The deceased was a GP here for 40 years. I found myself wondering how many of the congregation had been delivered by him in the now closed Cottage Hospital.
