By the Sea

Our first full day in Antigua. Temperatures are in the high 20s, very pleasant but not so hot you don’t want to do anything. After an excellent breakfast, we took a walk out to Devil’s Bridge and watched the sea crashing into the limestone shoreline. The erosion was quite an amazing sight. Annie managed to find a nicely slippery bit, nearly did the splits and ended up with her bottom in a rock pool. Once we’d established she was ok, all spectators had a good chuckle at her denim shorts’ big wet patch (see extra!).

We then spent most of the day at the beach, soaking up some sun (a bit more than I should have in my case) before taking a walk, a bit before sunset, to Long Bay on the other side of our promontory. A long and pretty beach we will return to later in the week.
