Dancing catkins

My mother used to put them in jugs with daffodils and I always thought how beautiful they were.
When I was a child we always had wild flowers and bits of blossoming hedgerows decorating the house.  Nowadays, of course, it is illegal to pick bluebells and primroses etc. (Why did we always pick primroses and tie them into bunches with wool?)
