Wax
Michael collected some honey yesterday from 2 hives. This is the wax caps cut off the front of the combs before spinning. He struggled because the heat made the wax combs really soft so they were breaking as he spun them. But they’re done and back on the hives for the bees to tidy and refill. I love the perfection of the wax combs and their caps as you can see in the pic.
Today has been another day in the low 40’s. I’ve been working on an assignment all day, hopping in and out of a cold bath to keep cool. It is impossible to drink enough fluid on a day like today so it has been a challenge. Michael played 2 cricket matches, the first at 9am and the second directly afterwards at 12.30. They won both so are now through to the finals in 2 weeks time. Luke plays tonight in First grade. Hopefully both grades will be in the finals.
Tomorrow will be a big day - pouring cement for a quadrant in the new lounge and finishing an assignment. It’s supposed to be ‘only’ 38 degrees tomorrow...lucky us :)
