Going ... going...

The mighty Meadowbank Stadium - home to the Commonwealth Games in 1970 and 1986 - is now being demolished. I remember happy days here as a volunteer driver in 1986 attached to the Canadian team. Their weightlifters and synchronised swimmers were fascinating contrasting minibus passengers. The former nearly broke the suspension and the latter was like driving an empty bus!
