The Soldier Bear

A meeting of the senior management team - our first “paperless” meeting. More or less worked well though some more training on optimising the system needed. But a small tree saved.

Then a quick dash into town for a meeting of the youth justice improvement board looking ahead.

The journey took me past this statue of Wojtek, the Polish soldier bear set in Princes St Gardens. The statue was erected about 2 years ago. A fascinating story of a bear who worked in the war and ended up in in Berwickshire then in Edinburgh Zoo.
