We often see them flitting between trees and passing the house, but for once this one decided to stop off and poke around for worms. Not a popular visitor with the other birds, but nice to see all the same.
Bonus pic update. Sadly, grey speckled hen was ‘got’ by something this afternoon. Happened in a four hour window because I had seen her earlier. Trail camera now set up to see if we can work out what has found the chickens. Fox? Pine Martin? Buzzard? We will see.
