Welfare ...

I had other plans for today’s blip, because it’s a lovely blipping friend’s 50th birthday.

But whilst we were at church this evening, my mother was taken into hospital by ambulance.

And I’ve pulled an all-nighter. It’s probably dawn outside and I’m still here. My big sister has arrived as Mum is clearly quite poorly - she has kidney failure, amongst other things. The staff are busy but most are lovely. They seem to enjoy showing tenderness to an elderly doctor, as the carer had told the paramedic that Mum was a GP. Mum is weak, sleepy and ill.

I played some Christian music at one point, and she started tapping her finger. Another time, she was struggling with her oxygen mask. She was trying to ask me what the 3rd verse of ‘And can it be’ was.
