Going With The Grain
A good, reliable wholemeal loaf pepped up with added seeds and grains (pumpkin, poppy, flaxseeds, linseeds, etc). As well as enjoying the making and eating of it, I can feel smugly virtuous about following the government's health advice that 'we should all be eating more carbohydrates and fibre, and less processed food, including sliced white bread' - not a problem in this house!
