Chill out day! The Cosy Club
After a hectic weekend, it was good to have a "chill out" day.
I was inevitably very tired yesterday and did not take a single photo.
This morning I got wrapped up and went into the summerhouse for an hour, taking a mug of coffee with me.
I love it out there. My thinking place.
Not much activity on the feeders but a wren came and perched in the old apple tree which is by the summerhouse door.
It was very mild outdoors with occasional drizzle.
Later I called at our local GP's surgery to collect my repeat prescription. There was a young man there who was trying to book an appointment but was told that the next one available would be 28th January, meanwhile if he could get to the surgery at 8.00 am tomorrow he could make one then.
She followed that statement with "However, I have to tell you that when I got to work today at 7.10 am there was already a queue outside." (The surgery opens at 8.00 am.)
At least we do have a Health Service however creaky.
Hopefully we will still have access to medicines after the unmentionable event taking place tomorrow.
I spent the afternoon with a close friend of mine at the Cosy Club in Birmingham. A really good environment to relax in and chill.
There are several differing areas to choose. A restaurant/bar, a separate snug looking lounge, (photo in extras), an upstairs mezzanine dining area and a private function room.
It is very busy in the evenings and weekends, but on this Monday mid afternoon it was fairly quiet, beginning to fill up again just before the normal city "rush hour".
We must've been there a couple of hours and ranged over a whole load of topics! ( With the exception of The Unmentionable One! )
Sorry the main photo is a bit blurry, but I took it with my mobile phone, as with the extra)
We caught the train home, my friend leaving one station before me.
It was going dark and there was a slight drizzle which was drifting round the street lights.
Tea over.
Now for a continuation of relaxation!
French Book Club resumes in the morning after a Christmas break. Time to dust the cobwebs from my brain!
