All present and correct

We didn't get to the common until about 3 pm today but, even as I type at 4.30, it's still not dark. Anyway, on our first attempt at our usual walk, Polly was lagging behind, as usual, and then something - either a whistle or a pair of Labradors - spooked her and she bolted, back the way we'd come, under the gate and off up the lane. In her blind panic she didn't seem to hear my calls and just kept going and, given I was pushing Basil in his pushchair, I couldn't go sprinting after her. Fortunately, however, the lovely mum of Son2's school sweetheart, who I'd had a chat with five minutes before, saw Polly running up the lane, jumped out of her car and managed to head her off, pick her up and bring her back to me. Another in a long line of close shaves for that dog...

So, we set off again and successfully made it round at the second attempt. Here they are afterwards looking none the worse for the experience. I've photographed Polly and Basil in the back of the car quite a few times now and I wonder whether they're always on the same sides, like Ant and Dec? I'll have to look back and see.
