A shower a day keeps the shoppers away

The shops stay open late on Thursday to attract the pre-Christmas crowds. But that doesn't take into account the rain.
This was one of Glasgow's main shopping streets. Sauchiehall Street, shortly after 6pm. The black shapes you can see - few and far between - are the late night shoppers.
Hardly worth staying open for.
And is it just me or are the street decorations here a bit sparse?
