The end of the day

In the bag is an unexpected gift - a complete surprise that I will treasure. I'm going to frame it and hang it pride of place in the flat. My designer has one too. It's nice to be so appreciated for doing our jobs. Tonight, my designer and I went for dinner to celebrate the ending of the book we've been working on. We had a sneak preview into Hobbity things, mourned the loss of a pencil case left on a plane, discussed future freelance prospects, and chatted about holidays. It was lovely to see everyone in one place as the author/illustrator is not based in the UK.
