Veterans Strategy

The government recently released a Veterans Strategy Ten Year Plan and part of that strategy is a consultation period, ending February 19th, where Veterans can express their opinions and answer focussed questions.
The strategy sets out principles and aims to continue to empower and support veterans.
Today I travelled to Plymouth to attend the southern region forum which extends from Kent to Cornwall but doesn’t include London. There were around twenty of us possibly representing tens of thousands.
I found it informative and interesting but with some attempting to dominate the proceedings pushing their own agenda for the group they represented.

The day did let me appreciate how fortunate I am to live where I do, my impression of Plymouth city centre, tired, run down, care worn. Businesses shut down, lots of people begging on the street, a sad sign of the times.
