Crete in Wintertime

There was sunshine when we set out for our drive thro'  the hills behind Chania and then the dark clouds rolled in again bringing new snow here and rain in the lower areas. The roads in this hilly area had been cleansed like all over Crete and Greece this is done on instant by the locals and authorities ~  ofcourse it's not everywhere as succesfull as it's here on the road from Malaxa up to Therisso via Gerolakkos & Drapona.
My entry + extra are from nearby Therisso; in the main one looking into the West onto the Omalos region.

As sweetheart must work on the computer I have little time to enter &/ react this week... will try via my handy ~  thank you lots for your reactions of recent!

7 weeks later an unknown heap of snow fell here Storm Okeanos of February 25th raged and flooded the island with water and snow... as you can see here; a footage from the same small plain
