Sunrise

A beautiful sunrise.  I've done nothing to this - it is straight from the camera.  There was a heron flying past, but I seem to have missed it!  The start of a busy day of packing and getting the place ready to leave as we head off again.  First thing to do was to get a new bit of exhaust pipe fitted to the campervan, but it was done by lunchtime.

I've cleaned out the hen house, collected a sack of unwanted sprouts and cabbages to keep them going and primed the hen sitter, so they should be fine.  The good thing about going away at this time of the year is that there are no seedlings to worry about, or plants which need watering.  Knowing our lovely neighbours, they will probably look in at the house plants anyway!  And the hens, for good measure!

The gales of the last few days have completely died away so we should get a smooth ferry crossing too.  Always a good start to a trip south!
