Lunch in East Perth today, an area of the city I really love.
In the redevelopment stage it had various labels, some good and some not so good, the latter with the label 'toon town' and sometimes thought as a hodge podge of buildings within cooeee of the city centre.

Along with being home to lovely apartments, parks, water sculptures, lolling seagulls and cormorants, cafes and pubs, the Chinese Embassy lives here too.
I've resisted taking photos in the past but decided today was the day to take a snap of this lovely wrought iron piece and a hint of what lies behind.

When!! I win lotto I would happily live along this stretch of river.
