One Crowded Hour

By GlassRoad

never a cross word..

..just a pile of crosswords for these happy souls in the crossword group at the community learning centre in the grounds of one our favourite walking park.

En route to the always filled doggie water bowl, A stuck his head into this very quiet room and they were very sweet allowing me to ask the usual 'who, what, why...and can I take a photo' questions and sent us on our way with mince pies from the pre-Christmas morning tea.

The Learning Centre has been going for decades ( I attended classes when my boys were pre schoolers almost 30 years ago) and has gone from strength to strength.
Now, each term day is full of volunteer led yoga and meditation, language and art history, travel and writing, computer and share trading, bridge and mahjong, painting, pottery and weaving classes (and more I've forgotten) and a swag of book clubs.
They make their book library available to external book groups and ours has made good use of this brilliant service.

Lucky us to have such a great place so close to home to stretch the learning horizons.
