Cars who'd have 'em?

I had to go to the doctors this afternoon so dutifully took my camera with me. On the way back I past the newish large, shiny BMW and MINI showrooms. The showrooms stand at the entrance of the old Royal Aircraft Establishment near Farnborough airfield.

They opened when the financial crash started to happen last year. I couldn't believe they were opening at the time. Today 850 jobs at the BMW, Cowley, Mini production plant have been lost. So I'm not sure how much longer these showrooms will have. I don't care much for cars, really not much at all, although they are quite handy. But no matter how much I don't like what cars do or what they often seem to stand for I don't like to hear of anyone losing their job. And I do of course use cars so you know I can't rant against them too much. It is horrible all these jobs being lost, quite disconcerting.
