Waffling On

When localfoodlover blipped her delicious waffle toppings I commented that we could probably access the same flavours.

After some delay until we had time to make them (and retrieve our waffle iron from B&S) and though the results didn't quite meet C's standard, tonight we enjoyed:

Maple syrup from Fogel Farms, Mason, Michigan,
Ginger preserve, from Sainsbury's,
Cranberry sauce, homemade from fresh cranberries for Christmas,
West Country cream (which refused to whip),
Lemon curd, homemade.

What a shame I forgot the chestnuts, which had been cooked with a view to making Marrons Glace but had broken up, still in the frig..
