A Very Short Trip to Bath

I had a whirlwind tour of Bath today on one of my 'bargain train trips!' Instead of getting four and half hours there, I ended up with two , after lots of problems with trains..ice on the line, points failures, train crew turning up late..well every excuse really for it to take two hours longer than it should have done to get there! The same thing happened this time last year when I visited Bath.

That's quite enough moaning though, because I had a lovely time racing around at top speed trying to fit in the 'sites'! I headed up to the Royal Crescent, which I absolutely love, I could stare at the beautiful crescent for hours..but I didn't have hours left! I then quickly walked back down into town where the Christmas Market was held, along by the river to a little cafe above the river (full up unfortunately) so I had 'takeaway' apple and almond cake instead, which I secretly scoffed by the river (whatever happened to that diet?) Then back into the town centre. I think an overnight trip is needed, there's so much to see there..another one of my favourite places in the UK!
